The tender for the Salıpazarı Port was won by the Doğuş Group in 2013, leading to the establishment of Galataport Istanbul Liman Yönetimi ve Yatırımları A.Ş. The company began operations in February 2014 and was renamed Galataport Istanbul Liman Yönetimi ve Yatırımları A.Ş. in 2018.
